Queen-Hunter Stockfish

If Stockfish can take your queen, it does. If it cannot, it attacks your queen when it has a way to. Otherwise it plays normally. Use your queen as bait.

Your move

How Queen-Hunter Stockfish plays

  • If any legal move captures your queen, it plays the best of those captures.
  • If not, but a move would attack your queen with the piece it moves, it plays the best of those.
  • Otherwise it plays Stockfish 18’s best move, searched to depth 14.

How to beat Queen-Hunter Stockfish

  • Your queen is bait. It takes the queen even when taking it walks into mate or loses more than the queen is worth.
  • When it cannot take, it has to attack your queen, so you can predict which pieces will move and lure them off defence.
  • Keeping your queen out of reach entirely lets it play normal chess. The rule only helps you while the queen is near.

Will it take a defended queen?

Yes. Any legal capture of your queen comes first, defended or not.
