Chess.com bots: how each one plays

The bots are the same every time, which makes them the best possible thing to review. Pick the one you just played.

Why bot games are worth reviewing

A human opponent is different every game. A bot has the same habits at move 5 and move 50, in every game, forever. So a loss to a bot is a loss to a fixed pattern, and the review shows you the pattern directly: the move where the graph tipped is the move where the bot's habit met your blind spot. Fix that and the next game against the same bot is a different game.

How to review one

Finished bot games have an address of the form chess.com/game/computer/…. Put rv in front of it and the review opens on its own, free and unlimited, without using the daily Game Review Chess.com gives free members. Or paste the PGN into the box on the home page.

Bot strengths are as Chess.com listed them at the time of writing. This site is not affiliated with Chess.com.
